Birdie Project, Installation of the Biopixlar Fluicell AB Printer at the CR2TI

birdie

The Birdie Project is an EU funded research consortium developing 3D in vitro human renal tubulointerstitium (TI) models with an unprecedented degree of mimicry and function towards native kidney.

The primary focus of the project is the investigation of viral infection and nephrotoxicity applications, and to make the model also applicable to other kidney-related diseases.

The new instrument setup will be used by Franck Halary’s team at CR2TI, for in vitro studies of renal infection.
