Sarath Sasikumar has started working on a project to design and implement a robotic solution for WAAM manufacturing of large metal parts using a Cable–Driven Parallel Robot.
First trials aim to identify the process and to create a referenced WAAM model for the production of large-sized parts with a serial robot and a cable-driven parallel robot.
This research is supported by the Mad4AM Isite NExT Research Network, Nantes Université and ROBOTEX 2.0 (Grants ROBOTEX ANR-10-EQPX-44-01 and TIRREX ANR-21-ESRE-0015).
Sarath is supervised by Elodie Paquet , Stephane CARO & Kevin Subrin, researchers at Laboratoire des Sciences du Numérique de Nantes (LS2N) and professors at IUT de Nantes.
